Many people have mental health concerns from time to time. But a mental health concerns becomes a mental illness when ongoing signs and symptoms cause frequent stress and affect your ability to function. A mental illness can make you cheerless and cause problems in your daily life, such as at school or work or in relationships. In most cases, symptoms can be managed with a combination of medications and talk therapy (psychotherapy).

Causes
Genatically:
Mental illness is more common in those people who blood relatives are also suffering from mental illness. Some genes may increase your risk of developing the mental illness.
Environmental conditions before birth:
Environmental stressors, inflammatory conditions, toxins, alcohols or drugs while in the womb can sometimes be linked to mental illness.
Chemistry of brain:
Neurotransmitters are the chemicals of the brain that transmit singles in brain and other body parts. When the drugs, alcohols and other chemicals are impaired, the function of nerve receptors and nervous system changes, leading to depression and other emotional disorders.
Risk factors

Sushant singh Rajput suicide
Sushant Singh Rajput was an actor. He was 34 years old. He died by suicide at his Mumbai home on Sunday morning. He debuted of his Bollywood career with Kai Po Che. His last film was Chhichore. At Sunday morning he was found hanging from the ceiling fan at his Bandra home in Mumbai. The police say that he was suffering from depression for the last six months. His friends said that the reason behind it is the extreme step of depression. Police said that he was undergoing psychiatric treatment.
Life history
Sushant Singh Rajput was born in patna. His cousin najeer kumar is an MLA. His sister-in-law is an MLC in the Bahir legisalative council. He has one brother, two sisters and father Dr KK Singh. Sushant lost his mother in 2002, when he was only 16 years old. In fact, his last social media post, from june 3, was also a tribute to his late mother.
